Cotswold Link is holding its annual Special Interest Day at The Pavilion, Cheltenham on Thurs 12th June 2025. The subject topic for this year is THE INFLUENCE OF MUSIC ON OUR SOCIETY AND CULTURE. Four presenters will talk on a variety of topics illustrating how music has been absorbed into our everyday lives.

Cotswold Link had great pleasure to present a Special Interest Day in June 2024.
Three, highly qualified speakers explored different aspects of computer technology in Our Brave New World seminar, covering ALTERNATIVE REALITIES – THE FUTURE IMPACT OF ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE ON SOCIETY, DOES YOUR COMPUTER SLEEP SOUNDLY AT NIGHT? and INTRODUCING HUMAN FACTORS – WHAT IS IT? WHY DO WE NEED IT?

Our 2024 Special Interest Day was particularly well attended as was reported by a Ledbury u3a member.

This Special Interest Day featured Four talks on the theme of Art & Patronage, comprising Sex, Scandal and Censorship in the Visual Arts, The Great Exhibition of 1851, Art and Patronage in Military History and The Northwick Collection.

Our Special Interest Day featured Mitigating Climate Change & Environmental Impacts with a wide range of topics connected to climate change and what we can do as individuals. The talks covered Tackling Climate – What Role can we play? Climatic Effects on Trees & the Effects of Trees on Climate, Nuclear in a Net Zero World and Improving Energy Efficiency in the Home.
